An Institution of International Excellence
A CENTER OF EXCELLENCE VisionFund (Cambodia) has continuously gained recognition as one of VisionFund International’s (VFI) top performing microfinance institutions within the World Vision Partnership. VFI has a global network of microfinance institutions in more than 40 countries. “VisionFund (Cambodia) is one of our best MFIs.” VFI President Scott Brown. AWARDS FROM CGAP VisionFund has received two awards on financial transparency from CGAP: a financial transparency award in 2006 and Certificate of Merit in 2007. Award criteria included compliance with international disclosure guidelines and the widely accepted International Financial Reporting Standards. In 2009, VisionFund received a Social Performance Reporting Silver Award from CGAP. The award, powered by Microfinance Information eXchange (MIX), recognized VisionFund’s reporting achievements on a set of social performance indicators including governance, target market, client services and benefits, staff performance appraisal, and staff incentives. With continuous improvement, we managed to secure the Gold Award in 2010. UNDP AWARD VisionFund has been given the Global Micro-entrepreneurship Award from the United Nations Development Program for six of its clients. The UNDP initially launched the Award program to mark the International Year of Microcredit in 2005, seeking examples of micro-entrepreneurship in developing countries. MIX RECOGNITION VisionFund has been recognized by MIX, a leading business information provider dedicated to strengthening the microfinance sector. VisionFund ranked 51st among 100 top microfinance institutions in the world in the 2009 Mix Global 100 Composite Ranking, whose major criteria included outreach, efficiency, and transparency. In 2006 and 2007, VisionFund received the top “Five Diamonds” rating in recognition of excellence regarding information disclosure. MICROFINANCE RATING In a recent social performance rating conducted by Planet Rating, VisionFund ( Cambodia ) received a “4-” rating, out of the highest score of “5+”.
