The Kampong Thom province is located along National Road 6, the road to Siem Reap which is home to Angkor Wat, one of the world’s most popular historical temple complexes.
The residents of this district produce rice and stone sculptures. There are also some popular resorts in this province such as Santouk Mountain, Sambo Preuy Kuk temple, and Prey Pros.
