KHUON SOPHORTH

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Born in 1980, Sophorth has nearly 10 years of work and teaching experience in information technology (IT), business management, human resources and administration in non and for-profit organizations. 
Sophorth returned to VisionFund to earn his current position as Business Development Manager in late 2008, nearly a year after he left the institution to join World Vision International, where he served as technical specialist in banking applications in 2007. 
He had worked for VisionFund as IT manager from 2005 to 2007 after spending nearly three years with NGO VBNK as Program Support Unit Manager, where he performed both managerial and IT tasks including administration, staff recruitment and motivation and policy-making. From 1999 to 2002, he was IT project manager for JMK Technologies and a teacher of English and Computer courses at the Phnom Penh City Center.
Sophorth is currently pursuing a Master Degree in Business Administration from Pannasastra University in Cambodia, and holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Royal University of Phnom Penh. He has numerous certificates of training at home and abroad including the Global Banking System Training in Toronto, Canada and the Banking System Automation in London, England.
