VisionFund co-sponsored “Linking Professional Event” organized by Cambodian Professional Network (Campronet) at Himawari Hotel in Phnom Penh on May 2.

“Through the sponsorship, we wish to show professionals that VisionFund places importance on professionalism and relations with other institutions,” Executive Director Bora Om Seng said when attending the event.

“We believe that sharing experience with other professionals will help serve your clients better. We could learn new things and take more initiatives,” he said.

Bora was accompanied by other VisionFund staff including Business Development Manager Chun Sothany, Information Technology Manager Khuon Sophorth, Human Resource Manager Leng Thavy and Training Manager Ly Bunrith.

Speaking of the event, Ly Bunrith said: “I am happy to attend the event. It is good. It enhances our professional network. We meet and chat with many professionals, and now more professionals have known what VisionFund is. We may need their help sometime in the future.”

The event is part of Compronet’s vision and mission to link professionals and leaders in Cambodia to create opportunities and realize ideas to build a better Cambodia.

The event attracted approximately 350 participants from various sectors including financial services, health, shopping malls, construction companies, the media, construction material suppliers and NGOs. Participants joined various activities including a dating game whose players introduced themselves to each other to build relations and chatted.

In an inaugural speech, ACLEDA Bank President In Channy spoke of his microfinance institution-turned bank’s development. He said that among reasons why ACLEDA has reaped continuous success, it has always prioritized human resources and valued staff and sought good cooperation with local authorities.
